Long time, no see Love Bugs <3
I’m back with another beauty review for you. Recently, I came across Glossed Up, a beauty brand started by Nia Michelle. She offers a small range of accessories and beauty products, but is mainly known for her vegan handmade lip gloss products.
I purchased 6 of the 12 initial shades they offer on the website.
Below are the shades I bought:
- Pink Champagne
- In My Bag
- Unicorn Sky
- Glossed Up
I think the packaging was well thought out and even the inclusion of a business card was a great touch. The product comes in a cute little pink drawstring bag which matches the brand aesthetic. The tube and applicator make up your standard lip gloss tube branded with the company logo.
The packaging first and for most is fantastic. I swatched each shade on my arm. I love every shade and I do use them often with and without a lipstick shade beneath them. The shades can be worn interchangeably whether worn to work, running errands, or a night on the town. I do enjoy the fact that the product is vegan and handmade which shows social responsibility.
I do like the shades I selected, however I have to continuously dip into the tube to get a good amount of product out. Also I would really love to see a few matte shades added to product offering. When I swatched the shades, some of them looked a little too similar to the others. I think each shade should look distinctively different than they others.
Overall, I really love the brand and I give the product 4 out of 5 stars for my rating. It’s a growing brand and I very much am looking forward to see the new shades they have to offer in the future.
